This weekend I took Portraits for an friend and her boyfriends and sister and her boyfriend. Most of the photos taken were serious, but at the end we had a bit of fun and snapped this. I may have more photos from the shoot up later. I havent had many shoots lately because I've been working at a graphic design studio, but I'll try to keep updating this sometimes.

So, I haven't updated this in like a month, but not much has been new. I've done some shoot. I got a new strobe for my camera, but that's about it with my photography. Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I have been really busy doing a lot of nothing and just enjoying the summer time. I haven't had a lot of action with photography lately, a few shoots here and there, but not tons. The pictures up top are of the band The Soviet who I recently shot. You should be sure to check them out. They're seem to have quite a lot of potential. In other news though I made a logo for the city of Champaign's 150th anniversary. It was chosen out of all the entries, so now I'm going to have my design all over. I also recieved a proclamation and evn have honorary Patrick Bright day in the city of Champaign, but they gave me the day 3 days before the proclamation so I didn't know I even had a day when it happened. I've also started a clothing line. I will be printing the shirts in the next few days, so be on the lookout for some promo shots with my new shirts. Take it easy everyone!!!

Today I was bored, so my lovely girlfriend rachel and I, shot for my photography assignment. I have to some heavily edited photos. I have some better Ideas that i'm going to do, but the weather has not been nice enough to take these photos, so for now, I'll have to settle with doing them inside. This is just my first batch. I'm sure there will be many more.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. This month has been a little different. I've been working with some hip hop artists, and it's quite a bit different than full bands, but I think I enjoy it more. Hopefully these pictures can get me some more work in the hip hop industry. I love being able to work with all sorts of people and meet people while I do that. Hopefully I'll some more updates soon.

Here is just a few of the images I shot during my shoot with the rapper known as "Tha Advakit". I had never shot a rapper before, so it was pretty interesting getting to do so. I do have other shoots coming up with some other rappers soon I believe. Thats all thanks to Tha Advakit too! Hopefully this can become a regular thing. I also have some shoots in the works with some other bands. I hope to grace you all with lots of photos soon!

In other news I'm excited because in my graphic design class we had to make a logo for the city of Champaign's 150th anniversary, and mine was chosen, so now my logo with be seen by tens or hundreds of thousands of people!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Even though only like 3 people probably see this. This past week was my spring break and I shot pictures for one show and went to others. most of the above took place in the entry way of the mckinley foundation. Theres not much room in there, so it gets things moving pretty well. Also for my photo class we're working on porteaits so i just posted one of Damon from when i did old Rhynoceraptor pictures a little while ago. More photos soon hopefully. That's all.

So I haven't had a lot of work lately, but coming up I have quite a few promo shoots. Three of them happen to be for rappers or rap groups. I've never photographed people from the hip hop world before, but i'm excited to get my start. The video above is the boy illinois. He is one of the people I have a shoot lined up with. Also another U of I student by the name of the Advakit. I'll be sure to post those pictures up as soon as I take them. However, it will be about another two weeks because of spring break. I'm excited though.

So i talked a bit about the last shed show in a previous post, but that was right after it. Now I've had some time to actually grasp the it's closed, and i've come to realize that the champaign area has suffered a great loss. Not only in the venue, which i already knew, but in the fact that theres not going to be nearly the same amount of shows going on. at least indie shows. I was updating my facebook group for shows in champaign and i realized that they are almost all hardcore shows. Which made me happy and sad. Happy that the hardcore scene is coming back, but sad that the indie scene is going away now. The shed will always be missed by many, but hopefully it won't mean the end for some music around here. I should have more photos up soon. A couple of shoots in the works. maybe pictures from shows coming up too.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately guys. I have been pretty busy with all this work coming in around midterms, but anyways this weekend I took photos for Scavenger and Rhynoceraptor. Them along with many other band played at the McKinley foundation on Saturday. It was sweet, but the highlight for me was Black Teeth playing in the entry way to the McKinley. The room was maybe 9 feet by 20 feet at the most. and it was packed with kids. It was the first time i had seen stage dives in champaign. (or in this case it was dives off of an old church pew.) I would have taken photos of it, but my camera would have been smashed. It was sweet though. I'll have more photos up soon. I need to save up some more money from photos so i can buy some triggers for my drum set!

So, last night was the last shed show ever. I will miss it beyond belief. The willards are some of the greatest people I know, but the show was amazing, and i photographed a lot of it. For memory, and for my schools photo class. I had to take action shot. I think this one pretty much sums it up. I love this picture. I have quite a bit more photo shoots coming up. Hopefully more sweet shots will come soon.

Here's a few pictures from Shark Bandit's show at the STM battle of the bands. I will have more of these up very soon, but just wanted to show a quick sample. I am lining up a lot more photo gigs lately. I think it has to do with the weather getting nicer and people wanting to get pictures done as soon as possible. Hopefully I can start to make some money and buy some better equipment soon, and new drums!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been super busy, but I've taken quite a few photos lately so there should be a good variety up soon. My new band with my friends Pat, Kyle, and Derek has started recording. We have no site online as of yet. We don't want to put anything up yet until it's sounding sweet and stuff so we can start with a bang, but theres some photos from the recording. I'll keep you posted with all of that nonsense. Recording has begun. So has all my pictures for photo class, which just so happen to be photos i'll be taking throughout the recording process. Tomorrow and Thursday I will be tracking anywhere from 3 to 7 songs on drums. Hopefully I'll be able to get 7 done. That would be sick, but I will have many more updates over the next few days. I also have live pictures to take of the band Shark Bandit on friday. Check them out. They're all real nice guys.

Today i had band practice all day with kyle, derek, pat, and me (other pat). It was pretty fun. we recorded a demo and worked on some other stuff. Theres a picture of pat recording vocals, and also a picture or kyle as a ghost haunting rachel. Pats song had to do with ghosts so we were trying to be his muse. Once we have tunes online i'll either link you to them or put up a download of one of the songs or something. who knows.

These are my dogs! I decided to take some pictures of my dogs mainly because my top dog, Grady, is 17 years old (in human years) and if something happens to him I want some photos of him. I would have tried to get a bitter pictures, but he usually won't sit down, and he's now blind and deaf. So getting his attention is usually impossible.

With all that being said, I have a few different photo shoots coming up and a new assignment for my photo class. So, I should have quite a few somewhat interesting updates coming up.

Finally, The Future Exposed (the photo show/ music fest I'm in) will be starting this friday in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and next weekend I'll be going to see it and lots of good band. Including: Dance Club Massacre, Oceano, Monsters, Weekend FM, Breathe Electric!, and plenty more bands.

This picture is from like july or so I think, but I put it up because today was over 60 degrees. It just reminded me that nice warm weather is coming up, and I get to skateboard a bunch again. I'm tired of spending so much time inside during the cold weather and can't wait to get out and enjoy the outdoors again. Hopefully this year I'll be able to post a lot more photos of skateboarding, and hopefully my friends who skate will go big so I can get some sweet pictures.

I get my next assignment for my photography class on wednesday, so be expecting some more photos with that. I also have a few shows booked to photograph coming up. Sweet.

Last night was the band Commodity's first show. It was pretty intense. These are a few of the pictures i took during their set. It was also the first time I was able to photograph at the mckinley foundation since it was reopened. I love that place. I'm so glad it's back, but after Commodity played I made it over to the shed to see All the day holiday, So Long Forgotten, and Todd Reese. The shed has one more show before they close. It seriously sucks, but there's nothing that can be done. I just hope our scene doesn't suffer. All the music last night was sweet though. Be sure to be on the look out for more shows with Commodity. Especially the one coming up at Error house with Black Teeth on March 7th.

I took some portraits of myself today working with some florescent lights. It's pretty tough to try to learn things with lights by yourself. I had to photograph myself, then review it, and then try to fix what I didn't like and do it over. I do enjoy this picture though. I don't often take pictures of myself I like, but I try.

This is the ad that ran in AP (alternative press) this month. It was my first time being in AP and while I wish my photos could be in it too, i'm super stoked to have my name in the magazine. It's a huge point for me right now. It really motivates me to go as far as I can with my photos. I'm hoping it will help me out a lot. Other than that there isn't much new since yesterday, and if you live in or near Kenosha Wisconsin go visit this photo exhibit. theres some sweet bands playing!

Also, my friends in the band Commodity (formerly Crusades) just made their myspace and posted their demo on it. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/commodity1 They just came out, but have a lot of potential, and their 3 song demo is only $2 and will have some of my art on the cover. Every 30 copies will have a different picture on the cover.

So my photo class is starting to actually push me. Although I think I could turn in all my photos and Get an A at this point, I want to strive to not just do work that people think is decent, but work I'm happy with too. I think this will also help my skills a lot for the future.

I haven't shot any bands really lately, although my computer crashed and I lost some recent files, so I'm going to probably reshoot the band Crusades, which is now Commodity I think, due to Crusades already being taken by a similar band.

Tomorrow the new issue of AP comes out. There should be an ad in it for the Future Exposed photo exhibit and music festival, and in that ad somewhere should be my name. so I'm really excited about that. It could help out a lot. If it actually is in there I will scan it in for sure tomorrow.

So i went out to take photos for my digital photography class. It's not really super exciting yet. We were only suppose to photograph nature, and that's not something i'm big into. I like to do it if i see something pretty, but dirty snow in champaign doesn't do it for me. I also took a few photos of myself trying out new things with my flash. I like it decently. It's looking like i'm going to have to put off buying new studio lights because of the expenses of my accident, but i will hopefully still be able to get it in the next few months. that's about all right now.
